This development is regenerating a key site on Blackfriars Road in Southwark, which had been unused and unoccupied for more than a decade, and is creating an exciting new landmark on the London skyline.

When complete, the development, which sits on a 0.67 hectare directly south of Blackfriars Bridge, will consist of three buildings providing 274 homes, a boutique-style hotel over six floors, shops and a public piazza.

The fit-out also incorporates an energy centre, two spas and residential amenity spaces including the new landscaped piazza.

The One Blackfriars project is one of the most complex and ambitious residential developments being undertaken in London today and has had an on-site construction workforce of 1,400 people at its peak, using materials supplied by skilled craftspeople from across the UK and beyond.

Our client was awarded the mechanical, electrical and plumbing services package for the shell and core in the tower, and the fit out of the four star hotel section. They chose Brymec as their supply partner because of our reliable service and excellent communications which support the project and provide real cost savings. Delivery was a further obstacle that needed overcoming, so special timed deliveries were scheduled which we provided with our own team of drivers. Our rapid project response along with our vast range of products meant the contractor could rely on us to perform side by side with them as their Building Services supply partner. 

Mechanical & Plumbing materials supplied include Grinnell Grooved Steel, steel tube and malleable fittings, copper tube, solder ring fittings, bracketry and fixings, phenolic blocks, HDPE, and plastic soil and waste items.

The project is due for completion in 2018 and we are currently supporting the contractor during the completion of the 4* hotel fitout.
