Transforming student accommodation in Salford University campus.
The Peel Park Quarter is a luxury development, situated serenely beside the leafy park of the same name, designed especially for student life, with plenty of space and big beds as standard.
A multi million pound luxury student village has been developed at Salford University. The £81m development within the campus, was two years in the making and is a far cry from the scruffy digs of before.
Features include deluxe en-suite bedrooms and floor to ceiling windows showcasing views over looking the park. Communal social spaces play host to pool tables and other games facilities, while lounges feature Sky TV and the latest games consoles to help students unwind and relax after a hard day studying. And if that was not enough, there are also two 30 seater cinemas and a free gym on site.
University chiefs say the facility has been designed to provide luxury accommodation at affordable prices. Professor Helen Marshall, University Vice Chancellor, said "These are some of the best student residences you will see anywhere in the UK. They quadruple the number of students in the Salford economy".
Peel Park was built and managed with the university and Salford Village Limited, a consortium made up of Campus Living Villages, construction firm Graham Construction and investors Equitix and Kier project investment. Graham Holmes, Grahams’s regional director, said “Everyone involved is really proud of the finished project - the quality of finish and attention to detail are superb".
Brymec was a key supplier to the University accommodation, providing copper pipe & fittings, carbon steel pipe & fittings and Pressfit ball valves. Due to the size of the project and the amount of work carried out, there was a very high demand for regular large stock orders.
