Work is underway to build the first new grammar school in KEY FACTS England for 50 years. The Sevenoaks Grammar School is a £40m project that is set to complete later on this year.
Education secretary Nick Morgan last year gave the green light for the annexe to be built at Sevenoaks, sponsored by the Weald of Kent girls grammar school. It follows a long-running campaign to provide selective places in the town, launched by parents who said pupils had to travel long distances to take up grammar school places.
The scheme will see the construction of a 6th form annexe known as Sevenoaks Grammar Annexe. Main works include associated access along with car parking, bus zones and multi use games areas.
The construction firm Willmott Dixon are the main contractors on site and the project is estimated to cost £40m. The completion date for the annexe is set at September of this year (2017).
A regular customer of ours was appointed the M&E contract for the project. As they regularly do, they’ve turned to us as their main Building Services supplier. Along with Site Setup, Channel and Pipe supports, they have required large amounts of Acoustic waste & drainage. Our acoustic waste range (Triplus) was the perfect answer.
The Triplus Acoustic Waste & Drainage range is a pushfit system that includes triple layer pipes, fittings and accessories that guarantee low levels of noise emissions. The system is designed for waste and drainage systems at low and high temperatures inside residential and industrial buildings such as hospitals and schools, perfect for Sevenoaks Grammar School.
Our customer knows that unlike other suppliers, we hold large stock of Acoustic waste. On top of this, orders can be taken up until 5pm to receive next morning delivery. This meant that orders could be made the afternoon before without the worry of when they would arrive.
We hold very high stock levels to ensure we are ready for any size job. This gives all of our customers the confidence to order from us and guarantee they receive the products they want on time, in full.
