Designed with the primary objective of eliminating the risk of unwanted noise transmission from installed wastewater systems in new buildings, they output an optimal 12dB when in operation, which is considerably quieter than the sound of a person’s whisper. It dampens noise so well you can hear other sounds clear as day, whilst removing the need for lagging once and for all.

An output of only 12dB?

How does it achieve such a low level of noise transmission, both through the building structure and airborne noise? Using the latest technology, Brymec developed high-performance multilayer pipes at the optimum weight and density, which combine with a vast range of fitting configurations specifically designed with special features to further dampen sound. Piping is made up of three Polypropylene layers, all with a different purpose, which ensures that sound waves lose energy as they pass through each layer. The middle layer, with added reinforcing minerals, provides the key source of soundproofing, as well as adding strength and stiffness. Special acoustic-dampening pipe clamps add even more acoustic performance.

The middle layer adds strength and stiffness to the entire system, which points to another benefit of our VOX Acoustic Waste Solutions – excellent durability. The outer layer is highly resistant to UV, stopping the pipe from becoming brittle, and it is also impervious to almost all environmental conditions, which means it can handle impacts with ease, even at lower temperatures. With a low coefficient of expansion, they won’t deform – removing the need for expansion sockets for standard applications. Under normal usage, VOX will give decades of trouble-free service.

Maintenance is really easy too, thanks to the smooth, white, abrasion-resistant inner layer. Most chemicals are not a problem with our VOX Acoustic Waste Solutions, including surfactants, even when at high temperatures. This layer is designed to maximise the flow rate and reduce the formation of deposits, thus reducing the risk of blockages. When combined, the properties of all three layers result in high-performance noise-dampening with unbeatable durability, protection against weather and impact, and strong resistance to chemical damage.

This special double-lip design ensures a perfect seal that is reliable to 0.5 bar pressure or even during backflow or under vacuum.
